Lookout Lake is a mid elevation lake located in the backcountry of Harrison West. The lake is only accessible by 4wd and a copy of Backroad Map books Vancouver Coast should always be in the glove box. Lookout Lake receives much less pressure then other
lakes in the area since it's more difficult to access so it's not uncommon to have the lake to yourself. This lake is best explored by a float tube or pontoon boat since shore fishing can be somewhat limited.
The lake contains good numbers of Rainbow
and Cutthroat trout in the 25-35cm range. Being stocked in the past and with low fishing pressure there are sure to be some bigger fish in this lake. All the normal lower mainland fly patterns work well here including Doc Spratley, Woolly Bugger, and Tom Thumb.
As for bait worms or power bait work well under a float. If your fishing with spoons 1/16th oz croc spoons are the go to.
